Questions

The things people ask before they sign anything.

Answered plainly, including the ones where the answer is “then we are probably not the right fit.”

Q.01Before you engage

Straight answers.

01 We already have a BI tool. Why would we need you?

A BI tool draws charts from a table someone else has to keep correct. Most of the work we do is upstream of that — getting the data out of an ERP that will not expose it, backfilling history, reconciling to the reports your people already defend. If your warehouse is already clean and trusted, you probably do not need us.

02 How do you price?

Products are per site, never per user. Consulting runs as a monthly retainer at a reduced hourly rate, or as scoped ad-hoc work at the standard rate. Everything is quoted against a signed order form, and work starts once that is executed and the first period is paid.

03 What does a first engagement look like?

Deliberately small and genuinely load-bearing — one report that has to be right, or one integration that keeps breaking. It is the cheapest way for both sides to find out whether this works before anyone commits to a platform.

04 What do you need from us to start?

Read access to the source system, someone who can answer "which of these two numbers is right", and a named person on your side who can approve a change. The third one matters more than the first two.

05 Who owns what we build?

Your data is yours, exportable at any time in a format you can read without us. Work product is covered by the order form. We do not train models on your data and we do not claim ownership of derived data.

06 Is any of this safety-rated?

No, and we put that in writing in every contract. Our systems inform people; they are not rated to protect them. Anything where a failure could hurt someone belongs to hardware built and certified for that job.

07 Do you do SSO?

Yes — Microsoft Entra, so we never store a password. Access is scoped per site and per role and enforced on the server, with an audit trail covering who changed what and when.

08 What happens when something breaks at 2am?

Every build ships with its own monitoring, freshness checks and an in-app route for users to report a problem and see what happened to it. You should be able to tell whether a number is stale without calling us. When you do need to call, you reach the person who built it.

Q.02Where to look next

If you would rather read than ask.

Not on the list?

Ask it directly. You will get an answer from the person who would do the work, not a sales team.
